About From Paulette

Raising an amazing son is one of my proudest achievements. He’s now in his mid-twenties, completely self-sufficient, and thriving. Like any proud parent, I could go on and on about his accomplishments, but what stands out most is how we learned to work together and strengthen our relationship through our challenges.

As a single parent, since my son was 11 years old, I’ve always believed in the importance of having fun together amidst the daily routines. Teaching my son to enjoy life has been one of our greatest lessons.

My Transformation Through Positive Thinking

In 2007, I began a journey that would forever change my life. Raised in a negative and abusive household, I battled depression and underwent counseling for years. My mind was plagued by relentless negative thoughts that seemed impossible to escape. But when I discovered the concept of positive thinking, I decided to try something radical: brainwashing myself to think positively. I wanted to break the cycle, not just for myself but for my son as well.

In 2012, I had a moment of realization while sharing my story with someone. The negative messages that had haunted me for over 40 years had stopped, and I couldn’t even remember what they had said. This transformation was nothing short of miraculous and is a testament to the power of positive thinking.

My Professional and Personal Journey

Owning and managing a small apartment building has been one of my recent endeavors. After nine years of ownership, the building caught fire, and I’m currently in the slow but rewarding process of rebuilding it. Once completed, it will be more incredible than ever.

In 1989 and 1990, I served as a cop in the Air Force, stationed at Clark Air Base in the Philippines. At the time, Clark AB was considered one of the most dangerous places in the world. My time there was marked by significant events, including ambushes, coup attempts on the Philippine government, a 7.0 earthquake, monsoons, and torrential floods. These experiences tested my resilience and shaped who I am today.

After my time in the Air Force, I moved to Great Falls, MT, where I transitioned into a new role as a Grain Merchant. I traded futures for our corporation on the commodities markets to stay hedged, navigating the complexities of buying and selling grain to major corporations and international entities. This role and my work for the FAA in Engineering Services and a decade working at a corporate financial job honed my skills in finance, purchasing, policy, and regulation.

A Lifetime of Experiences

My life has been filled with various roles and experiences, from selling Christmas cards door-to-door at age seven to working in the male-dominated business finance and purchasing industries. I’ve faced challenges, embraced opportunities, and learned valuable lessons. Through it all, I’ve been fortunate to have had fun and found my path to a positive, fulfilling life.

This journey inspired me to start “From Paulette,” where I share my story and the power of positive thinking, hoping to help others transform their lives as I did mine. If you have questions or concerns, don’t hesitate to connect with me today.
